The Mister Turns 26

Today is the misters 26 birthday!
I hope to make it as magical as can be.
You see birthdays are a big deal, without them we wouldn't be here. haha.

Brad means so much to me and has taught me so much in the short time we have been married. He truly blesses me each and every day. I feel so lucky to get to wake up to his handsome sleepy face each morning.
He is the hardest working, most loyal, and best looking guy I know!

Brad, I hope you have the most wonderful birthday yet! I'm so glad you were born and that I get to spend eternity with you! I look forward to celebrating each birthday with you and growing old along your side. You mean the world to me and I can't imagine spending forever with anyone but you. I am truly blessed to be able to call you mine! I love you!

And what's a blog without a picture...
I love this handsome man!

P.S. Sorry Brad if this embarrasses you, you just look too darn good not to share! haha.
P.P.S. Let's go to Hawaii soon! ;)

Domestic Goddess Has A Panic Attack

Hello from the Schmidt house! It's Sunday which makes the perfect blogging day. I've been meaning to blog a lot lately but every time I sit down to blog I either a) get writers block or b) think we don't do anything blog worthy. But hey who cares. It's our life and we love it!

This weekend was pretty awesome and low key all at the same time. On Friday night we ended up eating at Red Robin (one of our favs) and then came home and played games. I totally won both times! Awesome. On Saturday morning I woke up with a serious craving for cinnamon rolls, so that turned it to an all morning ordeal but they were delicious and oh so worth it. After realizing how much they would make we decided to take some to our neighbor. She is seriously the best! I love her and she always takes care of us. Later that night we headed to the gym to burn off all those cinnamon roll calories, we ended up running a whole 5k. I was overjoyed since that is what we are training for and I did it without walking and its only January and that was after taking like a week off. Now we just need to improve our time!

Sunday was church day, and let me tell you I am all churched out after today. I had to give a talk today, I don't mind giving talks but I get oh so nervous. I don't even know why. But it went well and its over and done with! Once I got to Sunday school I got asked to sub for primary, I had to politely decline because it was my first Sunday for my new calling as the Young Women's second counselor. I really feel like this calling is going to be really challenging and rewarding all at the same time. After church we had about a hour to eat lunch before it was off to a church youth activity. Brad is the second counselor of the Young Men's presidency so with both of us in the presidencies we will probably get to go to ALL the activities. So 9-5 we were at church. Talk about a long day! Once we got home, we finally ate dinner. We had a roast. I'm telling you I was a domestic goddess this weekend, cinnamon rolls, clean house, pot roast...what more could a guy ask for?!

This coming week is a big one in our house, my sweet mancub turns the big 2-6! Geeze louise he is getting old! haha. There will be a post all for that cute boy this week! Other than that I may have a panic attack by how much I have to do this week. I have a doctors appointment, two midterms (one is over 8 chapters and the other is over 3 chapters we haven't even read yet) one on Wednesday and one on Thursday. I will be so glad when the weekend rolls around!

And just because a blog post isn't complete without a picture here is the most recent of B squared :

DIY Project- Daily Dose Of Love

Brad doesn't really have to go out of town much, but when he does I miss him like crazy and it's always for a week at a time. I wanted to do something special for him while he was on his trip this week. So last week I went to my trusty site pinterest for some ideas. I found an idea and ran with it and made it my own! I put together a pill box with some treats and notes for his "Daily Dose Of Love".

The first thing I did was collect my supplies. Here is what you will need:
-A 7 day pill box
-Small candies
-love notes/quotes

After that I got to work. I printed off a label for the pill box. This is totally optional but since I got the pill box for free at our local pharmacy it had some advertisement on the front that I didn't want to show. So I went to word and made a simple label. After I printed it off I just taped it on the front using double sided tape.

Then I added the candies. You can add any candies that you like but I found that m&ms worked the best. I put about 5 in each little section. Other candies could be red hots, mike&Ike's, etc.

The original idea had love quotes in each box but I like to make things personal so I wrote things like why I am thankful for Brad and why I love him.

Final step was to slip the little notes into each section, close it up, and toss it in his toiletries bag.

I always love doing little things for that boy of mine! He means so much to me and works so hard to provide for us! I just got off the phone with him and he told me he has really enjoyed his little love notes everyday, and his sweet treats! I can't wait to see him tonight!

An Update: Dedicated to Miss Shae Audrey

It's the new year and I've already been slacking on the blog {big surprise}We haven't done anything super exciting either so maybe that's why. However, I did enjoy having Brad all to myself for 12 days straight. We spent our New Years Eve in our jammies, doing puzzles, and watching the Rockin' New Years Eve on the TV. We had heard so many horror stories from everyone here who has gone to Times Square in the past so we decided to pass on that and I'm glad we did because as soon as that ball dropped I tucked myself into bed and crashed! We made goals for the new year, the only one we both put was running a 5k! We have been training and I'm excited to get one set up and actually do it. I've been wanting to for awhile now. Starting at the beginning of January I applied for jobs. Mostly to keep me from getting cabin fever. I go to school online so I need something to keep me busy, get out of the house more, plus extra money won't hurt. I am now an official employee of Victoria Secret {can you say hello to discounts there and at bath and body works}. Brad is away on a business trip this week. I miss him a lot, like I always do. I miss him even when he is just at work 5 minutes away. haha. I made him a little gift to remind him that I love him and that I'm thinking of him. {I'll put up a tutorial later so be on the look out} Plus my mom and I thought of some great Valentines Day ideas so be on the look out for those too! Brad's birthday is just around the corner, he will be turning the big 2-6! Oh and the 19th is our sixth month of marriage! Can't believe how fast time flies! We'll be at a year before we know it!

So there you go just a little update. I will try to be better at blogging, at least once a week!
Hope everyone has an awesome Thursday!

p.s. I personally think posts without pictures are boring so I'll try to take some pictures to include next time!
